This program depicts the heyday of the wealthy cities in northern Germany through dances, sonatas, pieces for choir as well as organ music in compositions from William Brade, Johann Vierdank, Dietrich Buxthehude, Thomas Selle, Johann Schop, Matthias Weckmann and Heinrich Scheidemann.
